Key developments: Changes to Tupe

Tupe is changing this year due to Government response to consultation. Changes are amendments to current legislation looking at such areas as reason for transfer and service provisions.

The right to request flexible working is to be extended to all employees not just those with parental responsibility for a child, or caring responsibilities for an adult.

Potential new approach to managing sickness absence to be introduced with the set up of Government funded occupational health scheme. Details to this are still being drawn up but is set to be introduced Spring 2014.
