Should the ‘E-cigarettes’ come under the Smoking Policy or have a Vaping-specific Policy?

Employers are now facing the tough decision of allowing employees to smoke at their desks as the new ‘E-cigarette’ craze hits. Some may say the new design to smoking is healthier and cheaper, some have other thoughts on this. We should be encouraging people not to smoke in any way therefore whether it contains tar or liquid nicotine this should still stand at the fact of been placed under the ‘Smoking Policy’. Although E-cigarette smokers are classed as non smokers by law, requiring them to spend time with smokers could infringe their right to a smoke-free environment and might, some lawyers have speculated, eventually lead to grievances or even constructive dismissal claims.
